AmCham EU facilitates the resolution of transatlantic issues that impact business and plays a role in creating better understanding of EU and US positions on business matters. Aggregate US investment in Europe totalled more than €4 trillion in 2023, directly supports more than 4.6 million jobs in Europe, and generates billions of euros annually in income, trade and research and development.

Governance
AmCham EU’s governance is overseen by its Board of Directors. Our advocacy work is shaped through member-driven committees and task forces that address a wide range of policy areas. AmCham EU is an active member of the AmChams in Europe network, which brings together 50 American Chambers of Commerce across 48 countries. The network connects more than 17,000 companies employing over 20 million people. AmCham EU also drives engagement on EU issues with chambers across Europe.

Youth Entrepreneurship Award
With support from its Executive Council, AmCham EU presents its annual Youth Entrepreneurship Award in partnership with JA Europe. It recognises young European entrepreneurs and supports them through mentorship with senior executives and monetary prizes for their start-ups.

Queen Elisabeth Competition
Recognising the importance of young people in the arts, AmCham EU is a long-time supporter of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, an annual competition for emerging musicians of the highest calibre who are ready to embark upon international careers.

Relay for Life
Every year, a team of AmCham EU staff, former staff and members walks for a full 24 hours at Relay for Life in Belgium, raising funds and awareness for the Fondation contre le cancer.

The Shoe-Box project
Every December, AmCham EU staff, families and members gather supplies and come together to assemble and wrap holiday boxes filled with food, toiletries and other necessities for the Samaritans of Brussels to donate to those in need.

Winter giving and donations
AmCham EU takes part in a range of charitable initiatives each year. During the winter months, a donation is made to support local causes, reflecting the spirit of the holiday season. Around Halloween, members are also encouraged to donate blood, helping to maintain vital supplies for hospitals in Brussels. From time to time, additional donations are made to charitable causes or in response to significant events.
