On Monday, 5 May an AmCham EU delegation travelled to Paris, France to meet with the Bank of France, French Directorate-General of the Treasury, the European Securities Markets Authority and the French Treasury. Afterwards, on Tuesday, 6 and Wednesday, 7 May, the delegation travelled to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France to meet with MEPs. The delegation focused on advancing the transatlantic regulatory dialogue, promoting the competitiveness of Europe’s financial sector, supporting the simplification agenda and highlighting the private sector’s role in driving sustainable finance, digital innovation and long-term investment in Europe.
