EMPOWER HER breakfast
On Monday, 5 December, AmCham EU’s week started with a high-level breakfast with Diane Farrell, Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade, US Department of Commerce. Member companies and colleagues from the US government and the US Mission to the EU had the opportunity to discuss women’s economic empowerment on both side of the Atlantic.

The session also allowed participants to learn more about EMPOWER HER – an initiative between the US Department of Commerce, AmCham EU and the network of AmChams in Europe, which was launched by Gina M. Raimondo, US Secretary of Commerce, at AmCham EU’s Transatlantic Conference in March 2022. The initiative aims to promote the role of women in international business while exploring ways to encourage and support women-owned and -operated exporters and business interests abroad.
We encourage all member companies to sign and return the EMPOWER HER Declaration of Support. If you have any questions about what signing the Declaration means for your company, please check out our FAQs.
