On Thursday, 3 December 2020 AmCham EU submitted its response to the Commission’s public consultation on Environmental performance of products and businesses – substantiating claims. AmCham EU recognises the need to ensure more that green claims are appropriately substantiated and avoid greenwashing.  At the same time, our response stresses the importance of allowing companies to chose between different methods to calculate the environmental performance of products whenever these meet minimum criteria set out by EU rules. AmCham EU looks forward to working together with all stakeholders on this important file.
